Of Panhou Retreat
The Story
Panhou Retreat was born from a fate. In 2004, Mr. Michele, Ms. Phuong – 2 founders of Panhou Retreat passed through Hoang Su Phi land and stopped at Thong Nguyen to rest. They were conquered by the terrain and landscape here so they decided to take a break. intend to invest in building a resort in here. Hardly anyone can imagine that there is an oasis rising up in the midst of majestic mountains and forests. Panhou Retreat is truly an “oasis” in the heart of Hoang Su Phi where you open your eyes, you will see mother nature patting you.
Ha Giang is a land with bold cultural imprints of the highland ethnic people. Therefore, Panhou Retreat want to become a cultural destination associated with nature for tourists. It is also the reason that each brick and each decorative motif are boldly Daoist.

Phung Village
The Location
“From Ha Giang city, you can hire a motorbike or private car to Tan Quang, where you can explore a “mystic road” which takes about 3 hours to reach Vinh Quang town, Hoang Su Phi district. On the way, when you come to km17, you can take a turn to Thong Nguyen, where Panhou Retreat located.
This Mystic Road is delicate and winding like a silk strip, but it is also steed and majestic. After a quite long journey, visitors will be able to admire the same message of picturesque terraced fields or hundred-year-old Shan Tuyet tea hills.
From here, you can also try to hunt clouds in Ban Phung. Clouds in Phung village are not as dense as in Mu Cang Chai or Ta Xua, but are very poetic. Phung village also does not have a wide valley like Muong Hoa of Sa Pa, but the terraced fields here are located on a steep slope – relating to the living habits of La Chi residents from about 800 years ago…
